Meslee Paperweight

The Meesle Paperweight came about as I was working on other designs, I found I would have a lot of off cuts, shards pieces of glass, which were useless for any major design but they were pretty and very beautiful and I wanted to keep them. 
I started to collect this box of shards, and one day I decided to use them. I put them onto the marver, I rolled the glass onto them to pick them up, added an optic twist to make a little paperweight.
So this is very simple design with not a lot of depth but with things like recycling, up cycling and not wasting is becoming such an important part of life today I wanted to make something beautiful from something I used to throw away.
